Seed is the most critical of all Agricultural inputs and determine the performance and efficacy of other inputs for enhancing productivity and production and thereby income of the farmers.
As per seed act, 1966 seeds means any of the following classes of seeds used for sowing or planting :
Jute seeds and includes seedling and tubers, bulbs, rhizome, roots, cutting all types of grafts and other vegetatively propagated materials of food crops or cattle fodder (as per seed act, 1966).
